Document Carrier Sheet A0/E size (35.21" x 49.1") Clear Front 5mil, White Back 4mil)

Document Carrier SheetDocument carrier sheets have been used, very effectively, for many years in the reprographics industry.  They virtually eliminate damage to original documents as they pass through the copying or imaging equipment. Document carriers should be used for any large document that can that is considered irreplaceable, or for documents that are very thin or have damage.  A scanning department should always have carrier sheets on hand, for damaged documents, they are reusable and if handled carefully, they can last for a long time.

Graphtec carriers are made of two sheets of polyester film, a clear top sheet and a white backing sheet. The two sheets are attached along one edge. They are not the best for intricate image details or weak lines but they are very durable and seem to outlast the Colortrac sheets. (can cause problems with Colortrac scanners, due to thickness).

The document is placed between the two sheets of film and then fed through the scanner, inserting the hinged side first. The document is safely transported through the scanner without any damage, even if there are tears, folds, damaged edges or holes in the original.

Carrier sheets are sometimes called document wallets.

Worked Great
We were searching for a way to efficiently scan about 125 drawings of various sizes that were done on very thin trace paper. We ran this through our OCE TC4 and it worked perfectly This saved the originals from tearing and allowed us to scan multiple smaller sketches in one pass. Called and asked questions before ordering, very good customer service. Thank you!

The landscape and irrigation departments have lots of old plans that need to be scanned for ease of use in the future. The carrier sheet makes it easy because the edges of the plans are torn and even crumbly. Makes the scanning job a breeze when using the carrier sheet.

I ordered the Graphtec because they seemed more durable than the Colortrac, but they are really too thick for our Colortrac scanner. It takes a lot of finesse to get them to start feeding and then to track well. We've been able to make it work, but if you have a Colortrac scanner, I'd recommend the thinner sleeve.

We have a large format scanner we use to scan and digitize old maps, most of them were hand drawn, some of them transparent, and all of them irreplaceable. We had been ironing the maps to get them through the scanner better, but this could potentially damage the paper or the information written on it, so I looked for a better option. I found the Graphtec Carrier Sheet and ordered one. It made a tremendous improvement in both scanning speed and quality. We no longer have to worry about damaging our documents, getting the scanner parts dirty, or whether or not the map is damaged or odd shaped. This product works perfectly for what we need

The document carrier is great, works well and really solved a need. The quality if very good and it works perfectly. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is its value. I feel it is a little bit expensive for what it is and not sure how well it will hold up over time for the cost.
